It’s a new year and a new Positive Trio. 2025 has started with fireworks with a several new champions crowned. Two of those, Tiffany Stratton and Joe Hendry are on this month’s top three things we enjoyed in January. Joining them was the incredible match from TNA Genesis between Jordynne Grace and Tessa Blanchard.

“It’s Tiffy Time“ has become one of the most over catchphrases in WWE. In the first week of January it really was as the Money In The Bank briefcase holder finally cashed in.
The storyline build turning Tiffany into a babyface was brilliant as Nia Jax constantly belittled her as Candice LeRae became Nia’s new best friend. Several times Tiffany teased a cash in only for it to be thwarted.
After Nia had successfully defended against Naomi, Tiffany attacked both Nia and Candice. Bianca Belair then hit the KOD on Nia and Tiffany got the huge pop as she became a champion on the main roster for the first time.

We never stopped believing and TNA Genesis was a great show to build from during the rest of 2025. The most popular man in TNA became champion after defeating Nic Nemeth in the main event.
The match was well paced with Joe Hendry getting worn down by Nic prior to Hendry getting the comeback. Frankie Kazarian came to ringside looking to cash in his Call Your Shot trophy but he was met with a clothesline from John Layfield. Layfield hit another clothesline on Ryan Nemeth and the path was clear for Hendry.
When Hendry hit the Standing Ovation it looked over but Nic kicked out at two. Nemeth almost got the victory before another Standing Ovation saw him get the one, two, three. A great crowd pleasing way to end the show and it will be interesting to see if ‘Joe Hendry makes it better’ as champion

When thinking of great TNA women’s matches, Taylor Wilde versus Awesome Kong, Gail Kim versus Awesome Kong and Gail Kim versus Taryn Terrell spring to mind. Tessa Blanchard and Jordynne Grace have had their fair share of great matches as well so this contest was much anticipated.
Adding to the anticipation was the controversy around TNA re-hiring Tessa and the rumoured reaction of Jordynne, amongst others, to that decision. The match itself certainly didn’t disappoint and stole a show full of great in ring action.
Hard hitting with lots of dangerous looking manoeuvres the match went backwards and forwards. Tessa survived a Death Valley Driver off the steps to the floor before coming back with Magnum for the pinfall victory.
This was likely Jordynne’s last match in TNA for a while and a great way to go out. It instantly made Tessa a top contender and the match will be added to the list of great TNA matches.
