February saw lots of things to love and some surprises in this month’s Positive Trio – the three best things in wrestling last month.
One of those surprises happened in AEW where a new Woman’s world champion was crowned. The Triangle of Madness are one of the best factions in wrestling. Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue have really gelled since Thekla moved from Stardom to AEW.

Thekla had her big opportunity this month as she faced the champion Kris Statlander on Dynamite in a brutal strap match. Statlander had the early advantage as she pummelled Thekla with the strap.
The momentum changed when Thekla pulled Statlander head first into the ring steps causing her to bleed. Hart and Blue tried to interfere, but were fended off by Statlander. The loss of focus, however, led to Thekla hitting a spear followed by a stomp to become the new champion.
CHARGE! In New Japan, the road to The New Beginning started and we saw a match between Boltin Oleg and Hartley Jackson. On the face of it, it wasn’t a particularly hyped or eagerly anticipated match – but boy did it deliver.
Two of the biggest and strongest in New Japan went at it full force causing fans in the crowd to flee from their seats. Oleg and Hartley brawled into the crowd and then proceeded to run full force towards each other.
Suplexes onto the seats followed with a couple of bumps that made me wince. A rematch between the two of them is now much anticipated.
The month ended with WWE’s Elimination Chamber and the final of this month’s Positive Trio. In the Raw and Smackdown’s leading up to the event a mysterious box was delivered to each arena. The contents of the box were finally revealed ahead of the men’s chamber match.

The box opened to reveal a coffin which led to Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis stepping away. The coffin opens to reveal a troupe of female dancers with face paint and a recognisable voice talking about curses.
The debut saw a mixed response from the crowd but it fitted Danhausen perfectly. A strange dance routine, the curse pose and the new Very Nice, Very Evil entrance music. The highlight was the look on Michael Cole’s face as he handed him a jar of teeth. There is lots to look forward to about Danhausen in WWE.
