The road to WrestleMania is fully underway and most of the card has already been set. The first of this months Positive Trio is the build up to a match that wasn’t even scheduled at the start of the month.

A title change happened at the beginning of March with Cody Rhodes regaining the world title from Drew McIntyre. Initially it seemed this would lead to a multi person match involving Jacob Fatu and the Elimination Chamber winner Randy Orton.

Instead we are getting Cody versus Randy for the title and the feud between them has escalated quickly. The family history and the Legacy faction have played into the story and blood has been spilled.

A fantastic segment involving Cody and Stephanie McMahon on Raw led to Stephanie questioning where this version of Cody could beat this version of Randy. The scene is set for Cody to stoop to depths we have never seen before to counter the Viper.

When Will Ospreay left New Japan it led to questions around the future of the United Empire faction. Jeff Cobb then also left but Callum Newman stepped forward and took the lead.

This month, he cemented his position as one of the top young stars in New Japan by winning the New Japan Cup. Callum overcame OSKAR, Hartley Jackson, Hirooki Goto and Shota Umino to reach the final.

The final itself was an incredible match where Callum overcame Yuya Uemura in a closely fought battle lasting over 25 minutes. He received post match congratulations from Ospreay but Callum is keep to make his own mark and a match between the two is likely to take place soon.

Ospreay had a lead backstage role in the final moment making this months Trio. A perfectly told story concluded when Session Moth Martina won the Eve championship from Rhio at WrestleQueendom.

Writing this almost a month after the match, the moment still brings chills. It is in the top ten of wrestling moments I have seen live.

The hard work for Martina will start now as there are a raft of strong challengers in Eve. This includes Alexxis Falcon who has a guaranteed future title opportunity. The confidence of Alexxis will be high following her recent victory over Mercedes Mone.
