WWE is on the road to SummerSlam and the two main events have been built with a lot of intrigue. CM Punk beat Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship and the tension has built nicely between him and the number one contender Cody Rhodes. This culminated in a nice spot at the end of Saturday Night’s Main Event when Punk ‘accidently’ hit Cody across the face with the strap of the title belt.

The World Heavyweight Championship match doesn’t need the same build as the history between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as members of The Shield, speaks for itself. Neither title build, however, makes this month’s Positive Trio.

The first of this month’s Trio is the storyline from Raw involving The Vision and Alpha Academy. For weeks, Maxxine Dupri has been talking backstage with Austin Theory of The Vision. This friendship was to the concern of her Alpha Academy team mates Otis and Akira Tozawa.

The Vision had a tag team titles rematch on the 6th July Raw against The Street Profits. Maxxine’s interference led to The Vision regaining the titles.

Otis and Tozawa confronted Maxxine, and she teased having second thoughts. She went to kiss Otis which distracted him for long enough to allow Theory to floor Otis with a low blow.

Otis is such a sympathetic character and Maxxine is performing fantastically as the beautiful, couldn’t care less about her friends, heel.

There is something special about Madison Square Garden and it was the perfect venue for the latest episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Riding high off winning the NBA Championship, New York Knick’s mania was running wild.

The show was one of the best Saturday Night shows since the peak era in the 1980’s. One of the highlights and the second of this month’s Trio was the no disqualification match between Danhausen and JD McDonagh.

Not surprisingly given the stipulation, Dominik Mysterio interfered which brought out the MInihausens to try and even the score.

Danhausen had another plan, putting a stuffed cat into his cloning machine, it churned out Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns. Towns choke-slammed McDonagh and then put Dominik through a table.

This assistance enable Danhausen to hit the Triple D and get the victory. This was such a fun, feelgood match which was fantastically received in the Garden.

AEW had a new Pay Per View called Redemption. The show had it’s moments but was not as memorable as some of the other recent AEW big shows. One of those moments and the final of this month’s Trio involved Willow Nightingale.

An injury meant that Willow could not compete in the ‘Owen’ and she had to watch as Mercedes Mone won the tournament to earn her place in the title match at All In.

Willow had a chance at redemption as she received a world championship match against “The Toxic Spider” Thekla. The match was fantastic and when Skye Blue appeared at ringside, it looked as if Thekla would retain.

Willow hit Skye with a Powerbomb outside of the ring and rolled back in to be met by a spear from Thekla. Thekla then went for a stomp, but Willow escaped and caught Thekla with a backslide for the one, two, three.

It was an emotional moment when Willow celebrated in the ring with The Conglomeration. On the following episode of Dynamite, Willow had an emotional interview in the ring before she was interrupted and attacked by Mone and The Divine Dominion. This has started to set the scene for what should be an incredible match between Willow and Mone at All In.
